NBA Playoffs 2011: Roy Hibbert Guarantees Victory for Pacers over Chicago Bulls

The Indiana Pacers nearly upset the Chicago Bulls in their series opener on Saturday.

The Pacers led for most of the game, but a Chicago Bulls fourth quarter rally led by Derrick Rose put them back on top to steal victory away.

While coach Frank Vogel was insisting, ‘‘This will be a good series,’’ center Roy Hibbert said, ‘‘We’re going to shock people. There’s no way they’re going to sweep us.’’

The Chicago Bulls were massive favorites prior to the series start, but all that changed after the Pacers put forth a strong effort nearly upsetting Chicago.

Whether the Pacers can avoid a sweep at the hands of the Bulls has yet to be seen, but the Pacers showed in game one that they can hang with the league-leading Bulls.
