During last night’s win over the Nets, Celtics reserve guard, Delonte West, broke his right wrist when he crashed to the ground after a hard layup. Coach Doc Rivers didn’t have a lot of information to give on the wrist, other than the fact that it is broken. Rivers did say he just hoped to have him back for the playoffs. Teammate Shaquille O’Neal said he thinks West could make it back in a few months. Shaq is not a doctor, but he has been called The Big Nostradamus.

The Mavericks said Roddy Beaubois should not be out for more than three or four weeks. Someone needs to teach them how to structure press releases. Or, Mark Cuban could just do all of them. That would be interesting. The fines he would inevitably incur might drive him to bankruptcy, though.

76ers forward Elton Brand has been suspended for one game for the flagrant foul he committed against JaVale McGee on Tuesday. If you’re a Brand owner, take note.
