NBA Odds: Miami Heat Favored By 7 at Home Over Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are set to take on the Miami Heat in a big time showdown between two of the hottest teams in the NBA.

The Heat were able to overcome a sloppy performance to pull out a 95-94 win over the Washington Wizards on Saturday night, while the Mavericks came away with and easy 106-91 win over Phoenix on Friday.

The Heat will be looking to get revenge on the Mavericks, who were the last team to beat them (106-95 at Dallas) before their current 12-game winning streak. The Mavericks have lost just once in their last 15 games, including their own 12-game winning streak from Nov. 20 - Dec. 11.

Taking a look at the NBA odds for tonight's games, the oddsmakers have the Heat favored by seven points over the Mavericks at home.

Miami really came out sluggish in the second half of their earlier loss to the Mavericks. Miami was outscored 31-17 in the third quarter and never really threatened the rest of the way.

The trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh combined for 67 points, but no one else scored more than nine points, and the Heat shot just 41 percent from the field.
