NBA Free Agent Rumors: LeBron James and Others Met To Discuss Possible Trio

According to Chris Broussard and Marc Stein of ESPN the much-anticipated free agent summit that garnered much speculation over the past few months occurred.

LeBron James , Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh met in Miami over the weekend to discuss their NBA futures and possibly one involving all three playing in the same uniform next season. The Heat have recently cleared enough cap space to go after three max contract players, the first being Heat superstar Dwayne Wade.

After a myriad of moves the Heat only have point guard Mario Chalmers , former No. 2 overall pick Michael Beasley and James Jones under contract. Beasley and Jones according to several sources are being shopped and if Miami does not find any takers before July 1, they will reportedly buyout Jones' contract . 

According to the report James, although interested in teaming up with Wade and Bosh, has yet to commit to leaving Cleveland for South Beach. James is reportedly still interested in speaking with potential suitors on July 1 when the start of free agency begins.
