NBA Free Agency: Golden State Warriors Sign Guard Jannero Pargo to Deal

The Golden State Warriors need help at the backcourt with both skills and depth, so it is a good thing that they signed Jannero Pargo. The free-agent guard was agreed to a two-year, $2.4 million deal today with the team.

The Warriors were looking for some strong backcourt depth after C.J. Watson left to sign with the Chicago Bulls, and now they got Pargo.

This signing works well with the addition of Summer League sensation Jeremy Lin, who grew up being a Warriors fan.

The 31-year-old Pargo is going to help out the team a lot, and, in my opinion, he will create a sudden burst of energy coming off the bench. Pargo is just coming off a season playing for the Chicago Bulls after previously playing overseas. Pargo averaged 5.5 points and 1.4 assists per game for the Bulls last in 2009-10.

Good luck to the Warriors in advance.
