NBA Free Agency: 10 Potential (and Reasonable) Detroit Pistons Targets

Amidst all of the hoopla surrounding the "LeBron-athon" or "Wade-aid" or whatever this summer's free agent bonanza is being referred to as, the Detroit Pistons have remained exactly where they wanted to be-in the shadows. Lacking major cap space or expendable pieces, the Pistons are quietly biding their time, like a lioness waiting to pick off a weaker piece of the gazelle herd. Team president Joe Dumars is far from finished in addressing his roster, and he knows that his job may very well be riding on how well he does this summer. The key for Dumars and the Pistons is to allow the market to settle itself out, and then focus on teams that need to appease their fan base. Not all teams will sign a big name free agent, and with every passing day and burgeoning source claiming yet another player will remain with his team, the pressure builds. So if the New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks all strike out, the idea is that they will be prime meat for Dumars to pluck. Sure they may have struck out on the King, but wouldn't Tayshaun Prince or Rip Hamilton be a solid (if underwhelming) consolation prize?
