NBA Finals 2010: Are the Refs Calling the Games Too Tight?

The series is tied at one. Game Three will be in Boston. Both teams have been playing hard. Both teams have won, both teams have lost. And both teams might be pissed, too.

Why? The referees are doing a horrible job officiating this game.

It is a championship, but in the words of ESPN.com's NBA Senior Writer John Hollinger, this year's NBA Finals is also a foul-a-thon. Many fouls were called. Superstar Kobe Bryant had five fouls during the final minutes of the fourth quarter. In the final two minutes of the game, Ron Artest got fouled out for making a little touch on Paul Pierce.

Both teams went to the line their fair share. Little pokes here and there were called. And when nobody did a single thing, a foul was called.

Sometimes, it wasn't fouls. There was an important scene in the final few minutes of the game. As Pau Gasol and Kevin Garnett were battling for a rebound, the ball went out of bounds. Clearly, it should've been the Los Angeles Lakers' ball, since the ball was clearly out off Garnett.
