NBA Exec Says Lebron, Bosh To Chicago Is Sure To Happen. Who Cares?

The NBA hot stove continues to lay on the heat, as a report today linked LeBron James and Chris Bosh to Chicago once the free agency bell strikes July 1st, according to an unnamed NBA executive.

ESPN reporting the latest rumor earlier in the day.

This is great news to hear if you are a Bulls fan, but in all reality, who cares?

As ESPN basketball insider Chris Broussard said on Sportscenter, this is just more speculation leading up to the July 1st free agency period. Nothing is set in stone, and nothing can be done until July.

Do not forget either that the deals cannot be done once midnight strikes, but can only be agreed to in principle.

As we have all heard for some time now, the suitors for James include Chicago, Cleveland, LA (Clippers), Miami, New Jersey, and New York. Bosh's suitors predominantly include the same teams, but throw in the other LA (defending NBA Champion Lakers) team for good measure.

Most of these teams will also have between $25-45 million in open cap space to cut a deal for one, two, or even a third player.
