NBA Draft: Philadelphia 76ers—Evan Turner or Derrick Favors?

The NBA Finals ended with the Los Angeles Lakers on top for the second year in a row. Although the hype surrounding the question of whether or not Kobe Bryant is as good as Michael Jordan will hover in the air for quite some time, a new question has arisen: who are the next up-and-comers? This question is especially poignant for the Philadelphia 76ers, who had one of the worst records in basketball this year. With the second pick in the 2010 draft, the 76ers are eager to find a new star, someone who will be the face of their team for quite some time. Speculation has led analysts and fans to believe the 27-55 team will select Ohio State shooting guard Evan Turner, who is widely considered the second-best draftee after John Wall. There is, however, another possibility in Georgia Tech's Derrick Favors. Some believe he will go to the Philadelphia, especially now that the 76ers have gotten rid of their big man, Samuel Dalembert.
