NBA Draft 2010: Ekpe Udoh Is Exactly What the Indiana Pacers Need

Ekpe Udoh is a shot blocker, scorer, and rebounder. He is the exact player the Indiana Pacers need.

If drafted, Udoh would start over Troy Murphy at power forward. Personally, I expect the Pacers to trade Murphy for draft picks or role players before the draft.

Udoh is the player the Pacers have always looked for. He fills a huge need on defense the Pacers need to address. He was a force at Baylor last year and almost had a triple-double against Duke in the Elite Eight.

The Pacers will also consider Hassan Whiteside, Xavier Henry, Ed Davis, Gordon Hayward, and Avery Bradley with the #10 pick. 

Udoh is an upperclassman and can play at power forward or center. I would prefer Udoh over Murphy if you ask me. Udoh is like a younger, more active clone of Murphy.

Ekpe Udoh, Danny Granger, and Roy Hibbert would be a great frontcourt for the Pacers. Udoh and Granger would be the scorers while Hibbert does all of the dirty work in the paint, with some help from Udoh there as well.

Could that frontcourt lead the Pacers to the playoffs? Maybe.
