NBA Draft 2010: Could Ekpe Udoh Be the Future of the Indiana Pacers?

In a recent IC Cold Links post, IndyCornrows.com reported that rumors are heating up of Ekpe Udoh falling to the Pacers, if they hold the 10th pick in the draft.

Here’s what ESPN’s Chad Ford thinks about the situation:

“Barring a lottery miracle, the Pacers are screwed. A month ago, they were looking at possibly drafting No. 4 and adding a building block next to Danny Granger. But a late-season run dropped them all the way to 10th and ended any realistic chance they’ll get a star. Udoh, however, would fit a need as an athletic shot-blocker who can run the floor.”

Udoh could work, I guess. He’ll be a great asset to the Pacers, and Danny Granger. I still like Xavier Henry more, though. No offense.

Here’s a little more on Udoh: He’s a 6′10″, 240 pound PF/C.  I think he could have enough athleticism to be a SF as well. Indy may indeed try that out sometime. He is very athletic.

He had 13.9 PPG and 9.8 RPG for Baylor last year. Pretty good. I think the Pacers might draft him with the 10th pick because they want a back-up plan in case T ...
