NBA All-Star Weekend 2016: Last-Minute Preview, Predictions for All-Star Game

The 65th NBA All-Star Game will take center stage to close out the weekend's festivities on Sunday. Don't expect a ton of defense—at least not until the fourth quarter. By that time, the Western Conference All-Stars will already have a large lead on the strength of their three-point shooters.

If the Eastern Conference are to have any chance of winning this game, they will need one or more players to get uncharacteristically hot from deep. They may have the better inside players, but that doesn’t figure to be a factor in this game.

Early Action

The Golden State Warriors' Splash Brothers will pick up where they left off at the Three-Point Contest when they finished one and two in Saturday's shooting showcase. Expect Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to stoke the West to an early lead with more long-range marksmanship.

LeBron James has had a low-key All-Star Weekend, but he'll be looking to make a statement in the All-Star Game. Expect him to get his early in the first half, but he'll only be able to keep the East close.
