Every year in professional sports, each league hosts an event to showcase the most elite athletes in the world, under the same set of lights. The NBA, unlike any of its professional counterparts, encompasses the true meaning of an "All-Star Game."
Excitement is never amiss on NBA All-Star weekend, and it delivers exactly what the fans want. High-flying dunks, precision sharp shooting and big name superstars are all under one roof for one magnificent night; what more could you ask for?
Though defense is usually transparent at this February event, millions of fans will get to witness the dream of having both Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant in the same starting five.
Unlike the Pro Bowl, the 2010 NBA All-Star game will captivate fans for longer than 25 minutes, and will prove to be the best thing in the league since the peach basket hoop.
In this slideshow, I will compile the five all-stars from each conference that will light up Cowboys Stadium this Valentines Day, the way they should be. Sorry Tracy McGrady and video game junkies.
