NBA 2010 Playoffs: Western Conference Overview

     This year, as many would say, has already been a very exciting year as you couldn’t pinpoint which team would have the greatest chance in winning the title. The year’s first-round playoffs match ups have not disappointed so far. In the East, It seems most likely predictable, probably the lower seeds causing some havoc, but nothing much that would cause any upsets. However, in the West it is truly a different story.

     Who would have thought the Nuggets would be down by this much to the injured Jazz? What about the Mavericks, who became contenders after the trade deadline? How about the Thunder being able to hold their own in their own home court? The Western Conference is much more interesting this year as the Lakers are not easily the cream of the crop, and now the fight for the Western Conference crown is up for anyone’s grabs.

     So let us talk about the Eastern Conference, nothing much about them that is very interesting, the higher seeds are winning and most teams have lost one game, but are on track to move to the second-round of the playoffs. So I won’t be di ...
