Nate Robinson Traded for Jameer Nelson: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

The Boston Celtics continue to be very active in the trade market, reportedly agreeing to a deal with the Denver Nuggets to acquire veteran guard Nate Robinson. 

Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski had the details:



The Celtics would later confirm the trade.

Robinson had seen his role diminish with the Nuggets, averaging a career-low 5.8 points and 14.1 minutes per contest this season. Still, the dynamic, super-athletic guard has proven in past years capable of providing energy and instant offense off the bench. 

Perhaps more alluring for the rebuilding Celtics, however, is his expiring contract. Boston was reportedly considering buying out Jameer Nelson, so it's likely it has similar intentions with Robinson, who is making just more than $2 million on the final year of his deal. 

Should that happen, Wojnarowski notes that the Los Angeles Clippers are a candidate to sign Robinson:
