Home to three of the most historically successful teams in the NBA, Texas is a hub for basketball talent. From Chris Bosh and Steven Jackson to Grant Hill, there are endless numbers of great basketball players hailing from Texas. With stars like Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker, the Spurs were arguably the most successful team in the first ten years of the 2000's, winning three titles in five years using great drafting and calculated fiscal conservatism to create a competitive team in the small market of San Antonio. The Rockets have not won any titles since the mid 1990's, but have remained highly competitive because of the dominance of Yao Ming and a recently improved supporting cast. Their roster has had the greatest turnover over the last few years, as Daryl Morey has tirelessly worked to improve the roster despite having two players taking up almost $40 million in cap space on long term contracts.
