The Miami Heat (16-6) shrugged off a slow start to take down the 12-11 Minnesota Timberwolves, 103-92, on Tuesday night in Miami.

The Heat trailed 27-21 at the end of the first quarter, but they dominated the rest of the way and won every other quarter.

The Heat were annihilated on the boards early on. The Timberwolves held a 21-3 edge on the boards at one point in this game, yet the Heat picked up their intensity on the boards and were almost even in rebounds the remainder of the game as Minnesota ended up with a 53-24 edge on the boards.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were both excellent in this game. Wade scored 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field, but James gets this honor due to his all-around play.

James scored 22 points on 8-of-18 shooting, and he also added 11 assists, seven rebounds, four blocks and a steal. Not too shabby.
