It was a glorious display of terrible defense and abundant buckets, but it had to come to an end eventually. And when it did, the Minnesota Timberwolves were the ones who scored last. 

The Los Angeles Lakers fell to 3-13 despite a good shooting performance from Kobe Bryant, who put up 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Jeremy Lin posted a double-double, scoring 18 and dishing out 11 assists. 

After both teams approached the 100-point mark before the fourth quarter even began, it came down to one final possession, with the Lakers down a point and two seconds on the clock. Out of a timeout, Byron Scott called on Kobe Bryant, who took an open three-point look from straight-on, but it just didn't fall. Los Angeles, which led most of the way, lost its fourth straight. 

For the Wolves, it was their first win since Nov. 19 and second since Nov. 5. They improve to 4-10, and the team owes a lot of it to 19-year-old Zach LaVine, who returned to the city of his alma mater UCLA to drop a career-high 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting in 26 minutes.
