Minnesota Timberwolves Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love Showing the NBA Some Fire

Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio found themselves last night.  The Minnesota Timberwolves proved to themselves and the national TV audience that they are ready.  They all ended up at the same point in time last night with no time on the clock, cheering lustily in front of the Los Angeles crowd after Love's clutch three to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 101-98 win over the Clippers. 

What the Timberwolves showed us last night was that they are ready to be winners, and they expect to compete every single night.  The hallmark of a good team is never giving up and never giving in regardless of the score.  The previous Timberwolves regime would have turned over and folded when they were down 12 in the fourth quarter—but not these guys.

Fast forward to 3:27 remaining in the fourth quarter, right after Mr. Big Shot himself nailed a clutch three off of a Blake Griffin assist.  This was another opportunity for the young Wolves to pat themselves on the back for coming close and making it a game.  But not these guys.  The next minute saw Ricky Rubio, yes, the same guy who was 0 for a million, fire two excellent ...
