The Houston Rockets (27-15) got back on the winning track with a 114-104 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks (7-32) on Sunday night.
Terrence Jones led all scorers with a career-high 36 points (14-of-20 shooting) and 11 rebounds, and tied his previous career high by scoring 25 points in the first half. Jones totaled 21 points in the second quarter alone.
James Harden was steady from start to finish, but his biggest contributions may have come on the defensive end, where he racked up a game-high five steals. He also poured in 22 points (7-of-16 shooting, 1-of-6 from three), pulled down four rebounds and dished out four assists in the win.
Dwight Howard was one of four Rockets to finish in double figures and posted yet another double-double with 20 points (including his second three-pointer of the season) and 14 rebounds.
The Rockets shot 48 percent from the field, but struggled from beyond the arc all night, converting on just 26 percent (7-of-27) of their threes.
Leading the Bucks was point guard Brandon Knight, who racked up 26 points (9-of-16 shooting) and seven assists in 34 minutes.
