Michigan Friday: The Detroit Duo Goes 0-2 in the NBA Draft

Sometimes kids make decisions to transfer or leave early for the professional draft and it works out for the best.  An example of that is Ekpe Udoh who was a role player at Michigan and after transferring to Baylor was the #6 draft pick in the NBA draft last night. 

For the past two weeks we were hearing that Manny Harris was rising up team draft boards. Some analysts were suggesting he might be an early second round draft pick.  Well, that didn't happen for Manny on Thursday and he went un-drafted. Now it looks like his options are to land on a summer league team or head to Europe. I think staying for his senior year would have been the right choice. 

At the start of the year many people were comparing the games of Evan Turner from OSU and Manny from Michigan. Evan went #2 in the draft last night. Comparison over. 

DeShawn Sims signed with Celtics and Raymar Morgan from MSU with the Wizards. Both are signed to summer contracts.
