Michael Carter-Williams Trade Rumors: Latest News, Speculation on Bucks PG

For the second time in as many seasons at the NBA trade deadline, the Milwaukee Bucks may trade a young, promising point guard.

Gery Woelfel of the Journal Times reported Thursday Michael Carter-Williams is among the players Milwaukee is willing to put on the block ahead of the February 18 ultimatum to make deals.  

Bucks head coach and personnel chief Jason Kidd dealt away Brandon Knight to the Phoenix Suns ahead of last year's trade deadline in a three-team deal that brought Carter-Williams into the fold.

As Woelfel pointed out, Milwaukee is 18 games below .500 since Kidd made that deal. Also mentioned in the report as a player the Bucks could trade for the right price is big man Greg Monroe, the team's prized offseason free-agent acquisition.

Milwaukee's roster looks fascinating on paper. Its parts banded together well enough to hand the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors their first loss after starting their title defense with 24 straight wins.
