After failing to find a new NBA team, Michael Beasley will instead make the jump overseas. According to Basketball Insiders' David Pick, the 26-year-old forward will sign with Shandong of the Chinese Basketball Association.
If the deal becomes official, Beasley will be starting his second stint in China. During the 2014-15 season, he played 37 games with the Shanghai Sharks, averaging 28.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists a night, per RealGM.
Following his time in Shanghai, Beasley joined the Miami Heat in late February.
According to NBA.com, the Heat had a 0.7 net rating when he was on the court compared to a minus-5.2 rating when he was on the bench. Beasley also averaged 15.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per 36 minutes, per Basketball-Reference.com. However, he shot just 23.5 percent from three-point range and turned the ball over 1.5 times a night.
