Miami Heat: Why All the Panic? Reasons Heat Will Recover Before Playoffs

The Miami Heat are off to a surprisingly slow 8-6 start in their first season with Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh. This slow start has caused every NBA fan on the planet to question whether or not the Heat are real title contenders this season.

While the Heat clearly have plenty of questions to address over the coming months, with one or two small moves, they will be just fine come playoff time.

The addition of Erick Dampier gives them a big body down low they have desperately needed to battle in the paint. While he hasn't been the best offensive player in the NBA during his career, he isn't afraid to crash the boards or give a hard foul down low when needed to enforce the paint.

The loss of Udonis Haslem will definitely hurt Miami, but the addition of Dampier softens that blow slightly. The pairing of the two might have solved the Heats' rebounding and post problems, but they will now need to find at least one more big man that can be a presence in the post and force on the boards over the next couple months.
