Miami Heat-Orlando Magic Rivalry Stewing: Stan Van Gundy Fires Back at Pat Riley

The bad blood between Heat general manager, Pat Riley, and Orlando Magic head coach, Stan Van Gundy, is boiling once again.

The two have been on rocky terms ever since Riley took over Van Gundy's team in the early stages of the Heat's championship season back in 2006.

Now the two are bickering back and forth like little kids.

The latest tension comes from Riley taking a defensive stance a few days ago, calling out all who had negative shots to take at the Heat's new trio.

Riley had specific words for everyone, including Van Gundy.

The Heat general manager proceeded to express his disapproval about Van Gundy's comments regarding Chris Bosh, calling the former Toronto Rapter Dwyane Wade's "lap dog."

Riley also went on to state that Magic general manager Otis Smith's comments about LeBron James' competitiveness were "stupid."

Now, Van Gundy is taking his shots back at his former boss.

The Magic head coach told reporters yesterday that Riley's rant was "typical" and says that Riley obviously cares about what people are saying, contrary to what Riley stated earlier in the week.
