Miami Heat: A Franchise Reborn

.Featured on MIASPORTSGUY.COM Miami Heat President Pat Riley hit the mother-load in free agency last week, signing the top three players available in LeBron James , Dwyane Wade , and Chris Bosh .

It’s as if a young Pat in his college playing days strolled into a UK bar with his exotic, beautiful girlfriend (Wade). He then met two other “perfect tens," one a bodacious redhead (Bosh), and the other a drop-dead hottie of a blond (LeBron) with a body that could start World War III.

Well Pat, Mr. Slick, somehow, someway, talked the three of them into coming home with him. He talked them into sharing the spotlight, into sharing a home.

Essentially that’s what went down last week, leaving every other spectator in the bar in a jealous rage with nothing to do but throw the kitchen sink (overpaying) at the scraps ( Tyrus Thomas , Travis Outlaw , Darko Milicic ), waking up the following morning with a slew of thoughts along the lines of, “what in God’s name was I thinking?”
