Meyers Leonard Injury: Updates on Trail Blazers PF’s Shoulder and Return

Portland Trail Blazers big man Meyers Leonard left Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs with a left shoulder injury.

Leonard Diagnosed with Dislocated Shoulder Thursday, Nov. 12 The Blazers' public relations department confirmed Leonard's status in the third quarter. According to the Columbian's Erik Gundersen, Leonard returned to the bench "wearing a pack of ice on his left shoulder."



Leonard said he's not sure how long he'll be out, and that he'll be re-evaluated on Thursday, per Joe Freeman of the Oregonian. The forward said his shoulder was "pretty stiff and sore," but he is "hoping I can heal pretty quick," per Freeman. 

Losing Leonard for any amount of time would hurt. Not only is the 23-year-old eating up minutes as a starter for the re-tooled Blazers, but the team needs his versatility up front alongside the offensively challenged Mason Plumlee.
