Memphis Grizzlies vs Detroit Pistons: Zach Randolph Plows Through the Motor City

The Grizzlies beat the Detroit Pistons in a tough matchup between two scrappy teams. The final score of 107-99 showed that the Pistons fought hard against the Grizzlies.

Early in the game, the Pistons had the upper hand. With strong play from Ben Gordon, Tracy McGrady and Greg Monroe the Pistons were primed for a victory.

Whatever happened in the locker room during halftime fueled the Grizzlies to their victory. Winning the third quarter 30-18, the Grizzlies were pesky on the defensive end and Zach Randolph was a man amongst boys.

Zach Randolph finished the game with 34 points and 17 rebounds. Randolph made a living on the foul line and on the boards. The Pistons' smallish defenders were not enough to contain Randolph.

Last week's Western Conference Player of the Week may be in for an encore performance. This season Zach Randolph may not make the All-Star team, but he has played like an All-Star as of late.

The Grizzlies play their best basketball when playing from the inside to the outside. Many teams cannot match up with Zach Randolph, and Marc Gasol is one of the most efficient centers in the NBA. This is the winn ...
