Matt Barnes Reportedly Agrees to Terms with Sacramento Kings

Free-agent small forward Matt Barnes will reportedly sign with Sacramento Kings, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

The deal is for two years and $12 million, according to James Ham of CSN California. 

Barnes had also received interest from the Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com.

Barnes, 36, averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 28.8 minutes per game for the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2015-16 season, appearing in 76 contests (45 starts).

He's remained an effective role player throughout his career, known for his solid defense and aggressive style. He often plays the enforcer role, quick to get in an opponent's face to protect his star teammates.
