Matt Barnes Comments on Reported Physical Altercation with Derek Fisher

Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes spoke Monday about an alleged physical altercation he had in October with New York Knicks head coach and former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Derek Fisher.

"We're two grown men who should have handled two grown men's business, but he wanted to run and tell the cops and the NBA," Barnes said, per the Los Angeles Times' Ben Bolch.   

Fisher is reportedly in a relationship with Barnes' estranged spouse, Basketball Wives LA reality television star Gloria Govan. Allegedly, Govan and Fisher were at a residence Barnes used to share with Govan when Barnes drove to the house and confronted the couple.

Although the Knicks announced Fisher missed practice two days after the incident because of "personal reasons," per the New York Post's Ian Mohr, it was speculated the alleged incident with Barnes was the cause. Fisher had this to say a few days after the alleged scuffle, per Mohr:

My state of mind—like I talked to the guys a few minutes ago—is personal, and private matters are personal and private.
