Golden State Warriors center Marreese Speights left Saturday's playoff game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a strained right calf.

Speights Leaves Game 3 Saturday, May 9 Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group noted that Speights' injury was deemed a calf strain, and he would not return to the game.

Ray Ratto of CSNBayArea.com pointed out that the timing was less-than-ideal:



NBA analyst Nate Duncan passed along a troublesome opinion for Warriors fans:



If Speights is forced to miss extended time, Festus Ezeli and David Lee will likely see an increase in minutes played. The Grizzlies are loaded with quality big men, including Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, and the Warriors' post players must step up without Speights.
