One player who might be a difference maker for your team is Marcus Thornton .
Thornton, the 13th pick of the second round in 2009, has quietly built a decent resume in his rookie season. He’s averaging 12.8 points per game despite only averaging 22 minutes per game—and he’s shooting .399 from downtown.
But lately, Thornton has been on fire. In his last five games, Thornton has averaged 22.2 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game, hitting 50 percent (13-of-26) of his three-point attempts.
The Hornets are playing without both Chris Paul and Peja Stojakovic , and Thornton has picked up the slack in the scoring sheet.
