Manu Ginobili Re-Signs with Spurs: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

Veteran guard Manu Ginobili is set to return for his 15th NBA season in 2016-17, and he will be returning to the San Antonio Spurs. 

According to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News, Ginobili's agent—Herb Rudoy—revealed his client intends to finalize a one-year deal with the Spurs Friday or Saturday.

Orsborn also reported that Rudoy said Ginobili turned down a "very serious, big offer" from another team in favor of returning to San Antonio.

While exact details of Ginobili's impending deal with the Spurs have yet to be revealed, the two-time All-Star made his return official Thursday with the following tweet:



Ginobili appeared in 58 games off the bench last season, averaging 9.6 points, 3.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

He has started just 10 games since the end of the 2010-11 season, sacrificing statistical production in favor of providing an offensive spark for the Spurs in a sixth-man role.
