Malik Sealy, R.I.P

A passionate Wolf, with true hunger and determination. One of KG's right hand men, Malik Sealy went out a Timberwolf.

Over the course of Sealy's NBA career, Sealy averaged 10 points in 23 minutes.

His final season highlight consisted of making a game winning reverse putback shot at the buzzer over the Orlando Magic on December 29 of 1999. This gave the Wolves a 107-105 road win.

Another notable moment was a game-winning three-pointer off the glass at the buzzer in a 101-100 Timberwolves win over the Indiana Pacers on January 17, 2000.

Sealy is remembered by Kevin Garnett and Joe Smith, two of Sealy's teammates at the time.

“It was a tough situation to get over when you lose a teammate, especially in that fashion,” said Smith. “Everybody was close with Malik. That was the type of person he was.”

It is said that when Joe Smith and Kevin Garnett see each other, the bump their respective Malik Sealy tattoo's on their arms to pay homage to the late great Malik Sealy.
