Walton Weighing His Coaching Options Sunday, April 17 Marc Berman of the New York Post reported news of the discussion between Walton and Jackson on Sunday, citing a source, but was unaware if the interview was in person or over the phone.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Walton indicated he was not interested in the Knicks job at this time, and it's "unclear [if or when] they'll talk again."

Walton, according to Berman, was a candidate for the Brooklyn Nets' vacant head coaching position before the Nets offered it to Kenny Atkinson. Walton made a name for himself earlier this year when he filled in for a recovering Steve Kerr and led the Warriors to an NBA-record 24-0 start. Golden State was 39-4 when Kerr returned from back surgery to take over coaching duties.
