Lucky for Washington Wizards, John Wall is Far from Being Another Kwame Brown

John Wall is no Kwame Brown. Trust me.

Wall, who is expected to be the top overall pick in June's NBA Draft, seems like a surefire bet to go to the Wizards, who won the NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday night.

For the Wizards, Tuesday night really was like winning the lottery. For a team that has well-documented failure in the lottery as chronicled by The Washington Post, tonight's "win" came as a shock. 

The Wizards had never moved up in 12 of their last 13 opportunities in the lottery.

That one opportunity where they did move up? Now that is where we get to Brown.

In 2001, the Wizards had just hired a new coach, Doug Collins, and team executive Michael Jordan chose Brown as the No. 1 overall pick.

Now just who is Kwame Brown? Well, he's that guy that you use a as reference when referring to the term "bust." Let's just say that his time in DC didn't go according to plan. He never quite panned out, and was traded away a few years ago.

Now, here the Wizards are, nine years later. They have defied their franchise odds in addition to their odds of winning the lottery, and get to choose the number one pick ...
