Los Angeles Lakers vs. Houston Rockets 1/8/13: Video Highlights and Recap

The Houston Rockets continued to roll on Tuesday, beating the Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash-led Los Angeles Lakers 125-112.

Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol did not play for the Lake Show, and the Rockets took full advantage of it, winning the battle of the boards. However, Nash did become just the fifth play in league history to record 10,000 assists during the game, in one of the few good moments the Lakers had this game.

James Harden, Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons all played extremely well, combining for 70 points, 17 assists and 17 rebounds.

Perhaps the biggest surprise came when Carlos Delfino dominated off the bench, dropping 19 points and snagging six rebounds in 23 minutes, helping the team outscore Los Angeles by 24 when he was on the court.

Houston has now won 10 of its last 12 games, while the Lakers have dropped four straight.

 

Player of the Game: James Harden, SG, Houston

As much as I want to award Delfino for his spectacular play, I have to give PoG honors to Harden. He continued his hot streak in this game, dropping 31 in addition to his nine assists and six rebounds.
