The Los Angeles Lakers (7-7) took out their road frustrations on the Dirk Nowitzki-less Dallas Mavericks (7-7) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Saturday night.

This 2012 Lakers rollercoaster season continues as the team rebounds one to get its first road win of the season just one night after losing their fourth-straight on the road to the Memphis Grizzlies.

L.A. got off to a quick start, pouring on 36 points in the first quarter and finishing with 65 at the half. The defense also showed up, limited the usually potent Mavericks to just 38 points in the first half.

The second half wasn’t as entertaining but the Lakers never let Dallas get back into it.

Antawn Jamison, Metta World-Peace and Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 19 points each and Dwight Howard added 15 points and seven boards.

It wasn’t pretty for the Mavs. Their starters combined for just 31 points and they were led by Vince Carter’s 16 points in 17 minutes off the bench.
