Los Angeles Lakers Head Coach Phil Jackson Will Return Next Season

Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson will return next season to compete for the fourth three-peat of his career.

Jackson, 64, was mulling retirement this offseason, citing health concerns.

The Lakers will return next season with the same core players that it took for them to win the 2010 NBA Finals and they should still be considered the favorites to win the Western Conference.

This move saves Los Angeles from what would have been a coaching fiasco, with Brian Shaw as their new head coach, and Byron Scott not being an option as he accepted the Cleveland Cavaliers head coaching position.

So all is safe for now in Los Angeles as they still have the Hall of Fame head coach Phil Jackson.
