DeAndre Jordan scored 20 points, Chris Paul added 16 points and 13 assists and the Los Angeles Clippers thrashed the New York Knicks, 116-88, at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.

This was a testy affair.

During the third quarter, Paul and Robin Lopez got tangled up on a rebound attempt, and Lopez would proceed to smack Paul in the face, drawing blood.

Jordan and Lopez then got into it, and Carmelo Anthony and Paul Pierce had to mediate.

Lopez would be ejected.

Paul then took over the game, scoring 12 of his points during that third period and helping the Clippers build their lead.

Los Angeles got out to a 31-17 lead in the first quarter, but New York closed the period on a 7-0 run to draw within seven.

The Knicks would make a couple of more small runs during the contest, but the Clippers ultimately outscored Anthony and Co. 61-43 in the second half to put them away.

Anthony led New York with 16 points.

Los Angeles shot a blistering 56.6 percent from the floor and went 13-of-23 from three-point range.
