LeBron James Will Pay Dahntay Jones’ Fine for Punching Bismack Biyombo

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James will reportedly pay the $80 fine levied against teammate Dahntay Jones for his punch to the groin of Toronto Raptors center Bismack Biyombo, per Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon.

James won't, however, be able to undo the one-game suspension the league handed down against Jones resulting from the incident, which occurred during the end of Toronto's 99-84 Game 3 win Saturday:



Jones denied he intentionally struck Biyombo below the belt, per ESPN.com's Ohm Youngmisuk:

They asked me what happened and I explained what happened and they told me it was a unanimous decision that I did it with intent, even though I didn't look. ...

My teammates have all regarded it as just nonsense, but we won't let it distract us from what our overall goal is. We'll sweep this under the rug and just proceed as if it's a normal business day.
