LeBron James To New York: Remember the 2008 Celtics

The 2006-2007 Boston Celtics finished 24-58.

How did they finish the following year again?

The New York Knicks will be horrible this season, but that doesn't mean they can't win an NBA Championship next season because in the NBA one or two players can change an organization.

If anybody thinks that LeBron will not go to New York next season because the team will be bad is out of their mind.

He makes everybody else on that team better with his presence. Take Rajon Rondo as an example. He was a nobody in the year leading up to the Celtics championship run. Then he was a solid starting point guard with Pierce, Garnett, and Allen on the floor.

LeBron can make players like Nate Robinson and David Lee great role players for the Knicks next season. Some players are not made to be their teams' No. 1 option but thrive as the second or third options.

Remember New York is not Cleveland. It matters more and it's more appealing to players in a league where stars stand out in the crowd. LeBron can make much more money in endorsements in New York and he will be more of a global icon in New York.
