LeBron James Sets Miami Heat Single-Game Playoff Scoring Record

LeBron James' 49 points in Monday's Game 4 win over the Brooklyn Nets set a new Miami Heat standard for most points in a single playoff game, per Sportsnet Ticker. The previous franchise record of 46 points was set by Dwayne Wade (who else?) on Apr. 25, 2010 in a home game against the Boston Celtics.

The 49 points tie King James' previous playoff career-best, which he achieved May 20, 2009 against the Orlando Magic while he was still starring for the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

Going back to 1964, there have been 34 NBA playoff games in which a player scored at least 49 points.  Michael Jordan accomplished the feat 10 times, Allen Iverson and Jerry West three times each, while Kobe Bryant and now James have hit the mark twice. Per Basketball-Reference.com, Jordan's games were all with the Chicago Bulls, Iverson's with the Philadelphia 76ers, and both West's and Bryant's with the Los Angeles Lakers.
