LeBron James Passes Jason Kidd on NBA’s All-Time Postseason Assist List

Cleveland Cavaliers star forward LeBron James passed Jason Kidd for third place on the NBA's all-time postseason assists list with 1,264, via SportsCenter, during Saturday night's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Toronto Raptors:



In 11 trips to the playoffs, James had averaged 6.7 helpers per game entering Saturday night, where he needed just three to move past Kidd. He finished the night with five, moving him to 1,266 total. 

James moved past Kidd in the third quarter, assisting on J.R. Smith's three-pointer that cut the Cavaliers' deficit to nine. 

While Kidd made 17 trips to the postseason throughout his career, he played in just 158 games. He led the league in assists per game four times and total assists three times during his time with the Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets and Dallas Mavericks. 

He won his only championship of a 19-year career with the Mavericks in 2011 over James and the Miami Heat.
