LeBron James Distracts Defense Then Hits Kyrie Irving with Perfect No-Look Pass

November 29th, 2014 by Ken Chin Leave a reply »

LeBron James is a master of NBA basketball, and this play is a perfect example of that.

In the first quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 109-97 home win over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night, LeBron used a little acting to free up an open man for the bucket.

Shawn Marion saved the ball in the corner and found LeBron near the elbow. LeBron then motioned for Marion to cut, but it was just a ruse. Kyrie Irving used that distraction to move toward the basket, and LeBron hit him with a perfect pass for the score and an 18-4 lead.

Great job by LeBron using a little improvisation to record the assist. He finished with 19 points and seven assists, while Kevin Love led the Cavs with 28 points.
