LeBron James’ Decision and a Look at Other Stars’ Beginnings

LeBron wants to win.  

That is what the 2010 NBA free agency's largest story will ultimately come down to. Cleveland, Chicago, and Miami are the most well-equipped suitors for him at this point.

Cleveland will be able to offer him the most money, but LeBron has made it clear that money will not be a priority.  The Cavs' chances look grim.  

They were given seven years to build a capable supporting cast around James and failed to come through.

Chicago has a talented roster, including players like young point guard Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, and Joakim Noah, and with the cap space they will have, the Bulls will be a major player in LeBron's decision.  

He could then follow the footsteps of Michael Jordan and bring the Bulls back to a perennial title contender.

Don't forget that Obama publicly suggested that James come to the Bulls.  It has no impact on LeBron's decision, most likely, but it does show an upside to playing in Chicago.
