Some team owners in today’s NBA have worked hard to build their own version of a Super Team—the Celtics version with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen which ran all over Kobe and the Lakers in one of the highest rated NBA Finals of the last decade.

Dominant teams with multiple stars do not only raise TV ratings, but also raise the quality of other teams in the league. It forces teams to draft better or make mega trades to help with matchups against the dominant teams, hereby raising the quality of the game overall.
