The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating a death threat made against Chris Paul's wife, Jada, on Twitter on March 14, according to TMZ Sports.

The tweet in question read, "@CP3 if I knew where you lived I'd probably kill your wife and frame you for it. I watch dateline I get away with it."

According to TMZ's report, Los Angeles Clippers security saw the tweet and contacted the LAPD, which has yet to make an arrest.

TMZ also reported the LAPD is currently investigating "an Instagram troll who's been harassing him and his wife for more than a year" in a separate case involving the Clippers point guard. While physical harm wasn't threatened against Paul or his wife in that case, the person harassing Paul is allegedly performing "a campaign of cyber-humiliation."

No arrests have been made in that case either.

Paul, 30, remains one of the NBA's top players. This season, he's averaging 19.9 points, 9.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game and has led the Clippers to a 45-27 record, the fourth-best mark in the Western Conference.
