The Los Angeles Lakers knocked off the New Orleans Pelicans 85-65 in Brandon Ingram's NBA debut in the Las Vegas Summer League on Friday night.
Ingram had 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting, showing the athleticism and shooting ability that made him the second overall pick in June. D'Angelo Russell, last year's No. 2 pick, had 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
The Pelicans, meanwhile, were led by Buddy Hield, who had 13 points but shot just 5-of-20 from the field.
New Orleans will be back in action on Sunday against the Utah Jazz, while the Lakers will face Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
