Jordan Clarkson provided the offense and Larry Nance, Jr. provided the defense in a 68-60 win for the Los Angeles Lakers over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Clarkson dropped a team-high 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, showing an ability to get into the paint throughout the game.
Nance, meanwhile, was all over the floor on both ends. He seemed to be in the mix for every loose ball and gave anyone he guarded nightmares on those possessions. He finished with eight points, five rebounds, three steals, two blocks and was a game-high plus-20.
No. 2 overall pick D'Angelo Russell was the only other Laker in double-figures, pitching in with 14 points. It took him 15 shots to get there, though. On the bright side, he balanced the inefficiency a bit with eight rebounds and three assists.
The Sixers were led by Jahlil Okafor, who scored 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting and grabbed 11 boards. Pierre Jackson came off the bench to add 15 points.
